political experts

for what people call me for many years. This is not a title to wear my pride.

I work my way from entry-level programmers to senior management at a large telecommunications company. I know many people, I have a know how to work with the “system” of great significance. I understand how it filled, when you need to know when to ignore it, when playing well.

my job, the most important, and I in the long run, the progress reports on my skills in middle management. I can make it more effective, easier and more successful life me. It is frustrating to me, when I coach people, they respond with comments like: “I pull it to you if I have enough” political skills.

I

insulting. I do not play politics!

course, I did. I just did not want to admit it. When you run for public office, political skill is an important feature. When you run a guy is the business office, the politicians, is a label, you really undermine the leadership.

when someone accused me an expert on politics at the office, and I do not recognize it strong. I try to let me on there, no one, even away from me.

And I changed

work

in the same industry, headlines, more people, the new city. I am not a very good connection, of course. However, I recognize the challenges of work, when I was ready to go to work. Cost control, results are not consistent. I am resolved. That is clear to me that I had brought from the outside, because it requires a restructuring of the culture. I can not wait to go in.

is not no doubt of my success? I also completed two years of my career than any period of 5 years of new jobs. We are downsizing, improve morale, but we really do this, we will be operating targets to which they need. My client is internal, they are enthusiastic in their praises. Personally, I am a very good reward, and give a great bonus.

6 months later, I experienced a career first – I was fired. Okay, okay, I gave up a very substantial severance payment. But I did not see it coming, did not feel very good. What happened?

If I choose a new job, my political and my new company a lot of people whisper. It is not too complicated. The old guard the industry’s, when the managers take the old guard finally refused the way their body rejected the transplant tissue.

do not let her husband on that. I have a job to do, I will do it. I have no political stance. I was in complete denial.

So I worked very hard, got my career, some of the greatest results. When I have changed above. The new CEO is now left to return before the implementation of the company. He was a veteran by the hero.

I’m glad the Board’s choice, but I was concerned. My hard work and achievements are vulnerable, whoever is in charge, right? Error.

learn the right lessons!

The obvious lesson may be that politics is a reality, you better play a good game, if you want to succeed, no matter where you are. However, it is not.

possible, office politics are real and can not be denied. As a leader, it is important to get the political landscape of a country, your awareness of the work. Not so you can play the game – so you can avoid being caught in it.

think you know, above the increase in successful leaders. I know that most of them where they are heavily now, their home office in the political game of competition. Once there, they devour competitors, their foreign customer service than anybody else.

Along the way and their political awareness, but not in politics. Each of them can be established and relationships. Although people around the back and forth, they thrive because the relationship, because they focus the last game without mercy.

Your office

live in denial, and smart politicians will decide your fate for you. You never even know.

good politics in the office, you will achieve some success, promotion or two, here are some testimonials. For most users, the game finally caught up with them and their political career as a natural limit.

understanding of politics in the office is not good enough, so as not to fall into the wrong debate. Customer focus, development and other important goals. Build relationships with everyone you meet. Learn the game, and then refused to broadcast. This is the best rise to the top.
