first decades of the 20th century in China were infected with constant agitation. After a series of military defeats, caused by persistent dissidents and foreign countries, the Qing Dynasty was overthrown in 1912, ending nearly 6,000 years of imperial rule in China. In its place was a new national republic, led by Dr. revolutionary Sun Yat-sen. />
Although many saw the new government as a harbinger of a new era of nationalism and self-determination in China, the New Republic is still in a fragile state. In fact, power is decentralized and disputes between regional warlords and militias, who claimed the independence of the national government, and tried to meet their own needs. />
May 4, 1919 Thousands of students gathered in Beijing for a national demonstration against the government. In what is now called the May 4 movement, the crowd protested the government’s inability to unite the nation and its inability to adequately represent the interests of the country abroad.
With the protests subsided, they laid the foundations for social change in China. A populist movement of people has overcome, and nationalist sentiment and anti-imperialist spread across the country. />
It was during this time that communism has found its way into the political ideology of China. Young intellectuals were intrigued by the revolution that toppled the regime in Czarist Russia, and tried to learn more about the ideals of socialism and Marxist egalitarianism. Thusis Party began as an informal network of students and intellectuals who are spread in the provinces of China in late 1910. />
Chinese Communist Party was formally established and named in the French Concession in Shanghai July 1, 1921. While it was officially founded by Chinese scientists Chen Duxiu and Li Dazhao, he trained under the supervision of agents of Russia, the Communist International (Comintern). Later this month, the national society was organized in Shanghai, where they were invited party members and delegates from across the country to attend the first meeting of the PCB. Mao Zedong was a delegate to the meeting. At that time, I am a member of the mission in Hunan Province. />
Membership grew, the CCP began to attract the attention of the Kuomintang (KMT) party is co-founder of Sun Yat-Sen, and the dominant political force at the time. Although the socialist view of the CPC is very different from the KMT nationalist focus, some members of the PAC recommended to join the KMT. Thus, these members are thought to be based on the recent successes of the KMT in the unification of the country and gradually change the party from within. Although this idea was rejected by most leaders of the CCP, it was revoked by the authority of the Comintern, whose priority is then to unite China under circumstances years. In 1926, the CCP was forced into a fragile alliance with the KMT, which have drawn up plans for the Northern Expedition, a joint effort to regain control of this territory was held by most of the warlords in the north. />
North first expedition proved a KMT, the CCP Union is able to address many other captains during the first year of the campaign. However, tensions grew between the two countries that different ideologies clashed. This was compounded by the fact that after the death of Sun Yat-Sen in 1925, each side saw as the legitimate successor of the national government. />
Chiang Kai-shek, leader of the KMT at the time, especially the Communists were suspicious. Although the expedition was in Shanghai 12 Apr 1927, Chiang end of the alliance, and ordered a purge of the CCP leadership. Many of the CCP leaders were killed or imprisoned during the purge, but some escaped to the west and a “Soviet sector” – communist bastion, which are located in rural, remote areas. The largest of these sectors were controlled by leaders like Mao Zedong and Zhu in December and although Chiang Kai-shek was able to consolidate the power of the KMT during this time, they have made enemies of the PCC. />
Since CCP has spent years back with full force, the KMT saw an opportunity to crush his opponent. However, led by Chiang Kai-shek, the KMT forces attacked the CPC Jiangxi and Fujian provinces in 1933 the fortress. KMT armies eventually surrounded the CCP rules, and managed to reduce most of the supply lines. Blockade is a success, and within a year, lost 50 percent of the Communists in their territory and almost 60 000 soldiers. With several options available, the CCP decided to move west of the base for the communists held areas in Hunan Province. CCP launched a full retirement in October 1934, the beginning of Thusis Long March />
At that time the CCP army was led by a German named Otto Braun Comintern. After several devastating losses of the KMT forces Enduring Continuing, owner Brown was finally interviewed by Mao Zedong and other Chinese leaders. In January 1935 Zunyi Conference was held to determine the future direction of the CCP army. Mao managed to persuade the party to its strategy, and managed to take control of the army of Brown. At that time, the CCP shaken all forms of foreign influence, and had come to follow their own “local” leadership. Brown plans Ullike battle head to head, Mao called for guerrilla attacks against the strategic forces of the KMT, and under his leadership, the forces of PCC in small groups. To the surprise of enemy armies in March said much farther north in the Communist areas in Shaanxi Province. />
Travel is not an easy task. In March, took almost a year and ended in October 1935. CCP troops marched through the 9000 km of mountainous terrain, dense swamps and hostile areas still controlled by local warlords. Army begins the journey by about 87,000 soldiers, and less than 10 000 men stayed at the end. Despite these heavy losses, the CCP is traveling in most of China, and its surviving members learned a lot about the country and its people. In the light of their efforts, Mao Zedong and the party received fan and community support of many rural China. In the end, the CCP army was able to get together with other forces in Shaanxi and regains his strength juice. />
